Stud Tension Tie
Secures multi-ply studs or posts to foundation
Nail fastening makes for a quick connection to studs or posts in cramped retrofit applications
INSTALLATION
- Fill all holes with MiTek nails or screws to attach the strap portion of the tension tie to the side of stud or post
- Secure the base to the concrete or masonry wall with spedified anchor bolt. The hold down capacity of the anchor bolt is to be designed by others to resist the uplift specified in the table in the PDF below.
- Washers are not required on transfer plates that fit over the anchor bolt.
- Tighten anchor bolt nuts finger tight to base plus 1/3 to 1/2 additional turns with a wrench.
