However, the current timber framing standard, AS 1684, provides limited solutions for short wall bracing. According to the standard, strap-braced elements require a minimum length of 1800mm, while sheet-braced walls must be at least 900mm to achieve full bracing capacity—dimensions that are often impractical in modern layouts.
